To secure the folding door, a LimoLock is mounted on the first opening door, with the security pin fixed in the floor plate of the vehicle. Optionally, a 2nd lock is installed at the top of the door to secure the top and bottom of the door.

Smart control using the keyboard
The BCU-DL has many functions and commands that are designed to accommodate user scenarios from the field.
- Permitted trailer uncoupling: Using specific code combinations, you can for example uncouple the trailer from the tractor without generating an alarm.
- Standby: Safety protocol is suppressed, Locks remain open until the trailer is locked and once locked, safety protocol becomes active
- Rolling codes: By means of a specific algorithm provided in the BCU-DL, the M-Protect code generator can be used to
create codes for one-time access to the loading area.
This can be used for high-security transports where only the recipient receives a code to open the trailer.
Extensions of the solutions using BCU-Node
As the BCU-DL is a digital lock controller, additional accessories required for securing the load compartment (PiR
sensors, push buttons, door contacts, etc.) must be connected to the BCU-DL via the BCU-Node, an additional
configurable module.
Optional solution specifications
If required, the BCU-DL protocol can be provided by M-Protect in the M-ProtectSecurity Control Centre (SCC). The SCC is a secure cloud service managed by M-Protect and can be used as a security interface between your vehicle’s security infrastructure, on-board telematics and communication equipment and your organisation’s security needs. As the SCC supports all commands available in the BCU-DL slot controller, it gives you real-time full visibility of your security perimeter.

Emergency button from the load compartment
If your load compartment is equipped with a Lock System and the door is closed, the locks will close even if someone is in the load compartment. In this case, if you have left the keys outside the van, you will not be able to leave the van.
For these cases we recommend the installation of a (hidden) illuminated emergency opening button in the load compartment.
Pen protector
When a cargolock is used to close one of the two folding doors it is advisable to install 2 Pen Protectors on the other
folding door to prevent it from being opened or forced and thus missing the extra security thanks to the cargolock.
This Pen Protector can also be placed on the sides of the doors (where the hinges are) to prevent the door from being opened by cutting the hinges.
PIR Volumetric sensors
To complete your safety environment, you can install an infrared motion sensor in the cargo space that will alert you when movement is detected.

If your trucks are equipped with a hydraulic tailgate, you can use the tailgate hook solution to secure the door.
